Bhubaneswar, Oct 25:
The Bhubaneswar ADJ-2 court today deferred the hearing on the bail plea of SUM Hospital owner Manoj Nayak to October 27.
The hearing couldn’t take place as the case diary was yet to be submitted in the court. The court asked police to submit the case diary on October 27 and also directed the latter to submit the post-mortem report.
Notably, Nayak had submitted a bail petition with Khurda District and Sessions Judge Court on October 23.
It may be recalled here that Nayak was arrested on October 20 after he surrendered at the Khandagiri police station.
The Twin City Commissionerate police had taken him on a two-day remand for interrogation in connection with the fire mishap at the SUM Hospital on October 17 which claimed more than 25 lives.
