The Odisha High Court today scrapped the Odisha Judicial Service (OJS) Preliminary Examinations-2015.
The Court in its order directed the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) to hold fresh OJS Preliminary Examinations within six weeks and the OJS Mains Examinations four weeks after the holding of Preliminary Examinations.
The court has made it clear in its order that fresh admit cards will not be issued for the examinations.
The court issued the orders after conducting hearing on the petitions filed by Shrabani Panigrahi, Madhumita Bisoyi and several others.
The petitioners had pointed out in their petitions that there were several errors/mistakes in the OJS Preliminary Examinations-2015 question papers.
In its preliminary hearing the court had ordered for an interim stay on the publication of results of the OJS Preliminary Examinations-2015.
The OPSC, during the course of the hearing, had admitted of errors in the question papers and had informed the court of its decision to award marks to the candidates for the wrong questions on pro rata basis.
However, the court while rejecting the OPSC’s contention ordered for conducting fresh examinations.
