Bhubaneswar, Sept 27:
The Odisha government has decided to provide 10 high-powered diesel trailer pumps and send a 20-member Fire Brigade team to help the process of draining out floodwater in several cities and towns in Jammu and Kashmir.
A directive to this effect was given by chief minister Naveen Patnaik at a meeting here today.
Each trailer pump has the capacity to flush out 2000 litres of water in one minute.
The chief minister had earlier announced an assistance of Rs 5 crore for the flood-hit people of Jammu and Kashmir.
