Odisha govt okays transfer of land to VSSUT

Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik today approved a proposal for transfer of 11.580 acre of land to the Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) at Burla.


A proposal to transfer the land to VSSUT which earlier belonged to the erstwhile Irrigation and Electricity department was made by the Water Resources department following a request made by the Sambalpur collector for the transfer of the land to VSSUT through Revenue department, an official release said today.

The said land falling under Sambalpur (Sadar) tehsil limits in Burla town was lying unutilized and after its transfer to VSSUT, it will be used for expansion activities of the varsity, the release added.
