Bhubaneswar, Jun 9:
The Odisha government today initiated action on the recommendation of the special task force on allotment of plots and houses under the discretionary quota (DQ).
In the first phase, show cause notices have been served to over 50 beneficiaries who have availed single allotment under the quota, vice chairman of Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) Kishan Kumar said.
“The beneficiaries have been asked to give their opinion on the allotment within 30 days”, he added.
He also informed that the BDA would serve show cause notices to other beneficiaries who have transferred the allotted land to others.
Kumar also said the BDA will also take action against those who have availed multiple allotments under DQ.
“There are 312 such cases in the first phase which have been handed over to the Vigilance for investigation,” Kumar pointed out.
