With a number of seats lying vacant in +2 classes of various junior colleges (including Self Financing colleges) and Higher Secondary Schools, the Odisha government has decided to fill up the vacancies by the respective colleges and schools through fresh Common Application Form (CAF).
The applicants who have passed the Supplementary Examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha for the year 2014, but could not apply during the normal admission due to various reasons, are now eligible to get admission for these seats lying vacant, said a release of Higher Education department.
“The applicants who have not got any seat during online admission/vacant seat admission and who were selected but could not take admission due to various reasons are also eligible. Even who have already taken admission in normal admission/vacant seat admission period but want to switch over to other colleges can also apply,” said the release.
The last date for submission of the manually filled in CAF at the college is August 7. Preparation of merit list (purely on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination) by the respective colleges for remaining seats and publication on college notice board is August 8. Admission to the vacant seats against the published selection list is scheduled to be held at the respective colleges from August 11 to August 16.
Interested applicants can download the CAF from the website www.dheorissa.in. Then s/he has to fill up the CAF manually and submit it along with the relevant documents at the college where s/he wants to take admission. The respective colleges shall prepare the merit list (purely on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination), publish the merit list on the College Notice Board and intimate the students for admission.
