The state government is awaiting the opinion of the Western Odisha Development Council on the location for its proposed headquarters office, said Planning and Coordination minister Usha Devi in the State Assembly on Wednesday.
Replying to a question by BJP member Dilip Ray, she said since the WODC has demanded the shifting of its headquarters from Bhubaneswar, the state government has sought its opinion on the new location for its headquarters office.
The WODC headquarters office has been functioning in Bhubaneswar since July 2, 1999, the minister informed.
