In recognition of their satisfactory performance, the Odisha government has appointed 347 Special Police Officers (SPOs) as constables in the Odisha Auxiliary Police Force (OAFP).
Chief minister Naveen Patnaik has approved the proposal of the State Police headquarters for appointment of these SPOs as constables, a release by the chief minister’s office (CMO) said today.
Of the 347 SPOs posted as OAFP constables, two are from Sundargarh, 196 from Rayagada, 35 from Deogarh, 12 from Ganjam, 20 from Jajpur, eight from Keonjhar, 67 from Koraput, one from Nuapada and six from Rourkela, the release added.
