Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik today announced Rs 5 crore assistance for the Nepal quake victims.
The state government has sent three senior officials of the Odisha State Disaster Mitigation Authority (OSDMA) to Nepal to help in the relief and restoration works.
The chief minister, who had earlier proposed to send a team Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) team to Nepal, hoped that the situation would return to normalcy in the Himalayan kingdom very soon, a release by the chief minister’s office (CMO) said.
