Odisha girl Padmalaya Nanda has made the state proud as she entered into the Grand Finale of Junior Model International beauty pageant held at Hotel Malabar Inn at Calicut in Kerala yesterday.
As many as 40 contestants were participating in the qualifying round of the beauty contest – which began from April 3 and to be concluded on April 5.
Hailing from Cuttack, the 12-year-old Padmalaya had entered the finale in which 40 contestants were vying to find a place in the top slot.
The winners will be sent to other countries to participate in the beauty contests for Little Miss Universe, Little Miss World, Junior International Model and Little Miss Queen titles.
The Junior Model International beauty contest is being held in other countries too. The winners across the globe will participate in upcoming events like Little Miss Universe in Georgia, Little Miss World in Greece, Little Miss Queen in Bulgaria and Junior Model International contest in Malaysia.
Meanwhile, Padmalaya’s father Prasanna Kumar Nanda has appealed to people to vote for his daughter. People can vote her at Junior Model International India’s Facebook page and can also log on to www.stewartschool.in to register their vote in her favour.
