Odisha: Financial incentive for two more govt medical college teachers

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today announced financial incentive for medical teachers of pre-clinical and para-clinical disciplines of SCB Medical College and Hospital and MKCG Medical College and Hospital.

Financial incentive of Rs 20,000 per month would be given to Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in addition to their remuneration working in these two medical colleges, a statement issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department.

This will come into effect from the date of issue of the notification, it stated.

Earlier, the State government had announced the same for teachers of Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) at Burla and other government-run medical colleges.

As per the Medical Council of India, the pre-clinical and para-clinical disciplines constitute Anatomy, Physiology, Bio-Chemistry, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine and Toxicology (FMT), Pathology, Microbiology and Community Medicine.
