Ollywood film personalities, technicians and others visited his house to pay their last respects to the widely respected producer.
His mortal remains were consigned to flames at Swarga Dwar in Puri on Thursday. He is survived by his widow, son Chandan and daughter-in-law Lopamudra
Tripathy began his career as a film producer in 1993 with ‘ Anti Chhuri Tanti Kate’. Later, he produced popular films like Basudha, Savitri, Kasia Kapila, Maa Mangala and Subhadra.
His latest film Ghaila Bagha is set to be released soon.
Tripathy was born in 1953 in Kasibuga near Palasa on the Odisha-Andhra Pradesh border. His father Kali Tripathy was the publisher-editor of Odia film magazine Cine Odisha and uncle Ramakrishna Tripathy was a film producer whose film Nua Bou had won best regional film award in 1964.
