Employment and Technical Education and Training (ET&T) department of the Odisha government would hold a high level meeting on September 10 for the finalisation of modalities for the four-day special recruitment drive scheduled to begin from September 17 at the Kalinga stadium here.
ET&T minister Sanjay Dasburma told reporters he would hold a meeting tomorrow with the officials concerned to discuss about the issues arising out of recruitment drive.
“We would discuss whether the date for registration process should be extended or not, which are the companies that have shown interest in participating, commitment of the companies to recruit candidates and several other issues,” said the minister.
According to the present schedule, the registration of aspiring candidates is due to close on September 10.
Dasburma said the department is trying hard to get firm commitment from the companies that they would recruit avery large number of candidates during the job fair, as more than 25,000 have already registered for the job fair.
Two more websites available now
With the website developed for registration of interested candidates facing unexpected traffic, the department has opened two other websites in order to facilitate the registration process. Only B Tech, M Tech, MCA, MBA and Pharmacy graduates can participate in the job fair.
According to sources, the first two days of the drive will be earmarked for B Tech, M Tech and MCA pass outs.
