Dr Kabikantha Samantaray, associate professor of the department of ENT, Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) has been elected as vice president of Association of Phono Surgeons of India (APSI).
Dr Samantaray has been elected for three years from 2016 to 2018, said an official release of KIMS.
Phono Surgery is a super specialty branch of ENT, which deals with voice disorders.
Dr Samantaray successfully completed his term as honorary secretary of the Association for three years. He is the first Odia to be the vice president of APSI. He has successfully conducted national conference twice in Bhubaneswar and workshops to treat patients of any age with hoarseness of voice.
