The computerization of the Directorate of Odisha Higher Education would be completed in the next three months.
This was announced by the new Higher Education minister Dr Pradip Panigrahi during a review meeting at the conference hall of Nabakrushna Choudhury Centre for Development Studies here on Friday.
While discussing the plans and the work process of the department with the officials, the minister laid emphasis on qualitative improvement of higher education, personality development of the students and development of their representation skills.
He also advised the officials to prepare an action plan to enable the students to learn one foreign language.
Among others, principal secretary, Higher Education Gagan Kumar Dhal, additional secretary Durga Prasad Behera, director Dr Nihar Ranjan Patnaik, joint secretary Ajay Kumar Nayak, Prof Dr Mihir Kumar Das and other senior officials of the department were present.
