DGP KB Singh placed Hirakud police station IIC Savitri Bal for her alleged complicity in the case.

“The involvement of Hirakud police station IIC in the custodial torture of minor boy was proved from the visuals telecast by a private channel,” DGP KB Singh said.

Based on the probe report submitted by Burla SDPO this morning, Sambalpur SP Akhileshwar Singh initiated action against the erring cops.

Earlier in the day, the SP had suspended two constables– Ambuja Sahu and Jeet Narayan Podha—and dismissed Home Guard Siba Gouda. Besides, IIC Savitri Bal was attached to the district headquarters police station in Sambalpur.
