The Council of Ministers of Odisha Government this evening approved the supplementary budget proposal for 2016-17 in a session chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
According to reports, the total size of the budget stands at Rs 5,983.08 crore, out of which Rs 5126.04 crore has been earmarked as ‘plan expenditure’ and Rs 795.98 crore as ‘non-plan expenditure’.
The proposal will be placed before the Assembly on the first day of the winter session scheduled to begin on December 1.
The council of ministers further discussed the demand for funds from several departments and approved several of them.
