Bhubaneswar: A three-member team of the Twin City Commissionerate Police today left for Gurgaon in a bid to trace Suhail Aijaz, a Kashmiri student studying at AIIMS here, who has gone missing.

As per police sources, Suhail’s father had received a phone call from a PCO in Gurgaon. A person over the call had told him about presence of Suhail in Gurgaon.

On the basis of the phone call, a team of Khandagiri police departed for Gurgaon to ascertain the whereabouts of Suhail.

“The police team will conduct searches at various places in the National Capital Region on the basis of tip-off. The person, who had informed about spotting a person looking alike Suhail in the area, will be questioned. CCTV footage of the area, if available, will be examined as well. The team will operate in association with the local police,” said Twin City Police Commissioner YB Khurania.

Notably, Suhail, a second-year MBBS student from Kupwara district in Jammu & Kashmir, left his hostel at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar on February 9 and went missing since then. His mobile phone was last tracked to Kolkata on Feb 10.
