During his day-long visit to Ganjam district, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today went on an inauguration spree as he laid foundation stones for various infrastructure projects and inaugurated a number of development projects in the district.
After arriving at the southern Odisha district at around 10 am, Patnaik inaugurated a newly built commercial complex of Notified Area Council (NAC) at Sorada, a model school under Jarua block and a fire station at Rambha. Besides, he laid the foundation stone of Niladripur-Mayurpada road in Ganjam block and Aradi-P Laxmipur road in Chhatrapur block. He also laid foundation stones for around 60 drinking water projects in Beguniapada (45), Kabisuryanagar (6) and Purusottampur (9) blocks.
The chief minister also inaugurated a skill development counselling camp at Beguniapada.
Later in the day, Patnaik addressed two gathering at Beguniapada and Sorada.
“The government has undertaken various development schemes from the state’s own fund despite the Centre reducing the matching shares of the different projects. Our aim is to develop the state and provide jobs to the unemployed youth,” he said.
Health Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, BJD Lok Sabha MP Siddhant Mohapatra and Brahmapur MLA Ramesh Chandra Chyau Patnaik accompanied Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to various programmes.
