Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik today felicitated Prabhanjan Patra, who was adjudged best in the National Crafts Competition organised by Ministry of Skill Development.
Appreciating the talent and efforts of Patra, Patnaik termed him as the real Ambassador of Skilled-in-Odisha Vision and an inspiration to the students of crafts and skill.
He wished him great success for future endeavors.
Patra was the student of Cuttack ITI in Fitter Trade during 2014-2016 academic years.
Skill Development Authority Chairman Subrato Bagchi, Development Commissioner R Balakrishnan and other senior officials were present during the function. The parents and his Instructors at Cuttack ITI were also present.
Patra is a resident of Manapur village of Kujanga in Jagatasinghpur district. Born in a poor family, he started studying computer fundamentals and AUTO CAD and then worked in a private company. He pursued ITI in Cuttack in 2014 and successfully completed in 2016.
He secured top position in Fitter trade in the State Level Skill Competition for which he was selected to participate in the 53rd All India Skill Competition held at Kanpur.
He topped the competition and was declared as “Best Trainee” in All India Skill Competition. He will be awarded “Certificate of Merit” and a cash prize of Rs.50, 000 by DGE&T, New Delhi and Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. ITI Cuttack will be awarded as Best Institute.
Presently, Patra has also been selected in Campus interview conducted at ITI, Cuttack on July 25 by Tata Advanced System Ltd., Hyderabad. He will be an inspiration to all trainees of this institution for all the time to come.
