Odisha: Class 11th student stabbed for resisting mobile snatching bid

Keonjhar: A Class 11th student of St Mary’s School in Barbil was stabbed with a knife by a miscreant near a bus stand for resisting a mobile phone snatching bid at a bus stand today.

However, the student identified as Osh Nanda, a resident of Ward-10 of Joda Municipality, has been admitted to Tata Steel Hospital in Joda. He has sustained injuries in his bacck and ear.

The injured student said, “While I was waiting for the school bus, a person came and asked for my mobile phone to make a call. After he cut the call, I asked him to give me my phone back and started running. When I caught hold of him and screamed for help, he stabbed me with a knife.”

However, no police complaint was lodged till last report came in.
