Bhubaneswar, Nov 21:
Odisha Jjan Morcha (OJM) president Pyari Mohan Mohapatra today made it clear that he would not hide anything from the CBI, which is probing the affairs of the Seashore Group of Companies as part of its ongoing investigation into the mega chit fund scam in the state.
In an exclusive interview to a leading local television channel here, Mohapatra, who was grilled for about four and a half hours by the CBI this morning, said the CBI officials had interrogated him in the presence of eashore chief Prashant Dash.
When asked whether his reply would help the CBI to further its investigation, he said the CBI officials would know it better.
To a question on whether the CBI officials had called up Choudwar-Cuttack BJD MLA Pravat Biswal for interrogation on the basis of what he told them, the Rajya Sabha member said the decision to summon Biswal had already been taken as he came to know after he went into the CBI office this morning.
He said he had frankly answered every question he was asked and would continue to do so.
Mohapatra refused to divulge the details of the interrogation, saying; “I cannot reveal the details about the interrogation as it would hamper the investigation.”
