Subham Acharya has topped the Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII) in the Bhubaneswar region results of which were declared by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today.
Subham, a student of Mothers Public School in Odisha capital in Science stream, secured 98.40 percent obtaining 492 marks out of 500.
While Subham was the topper, Ayushi Agarwal secured the second position, Rishab Kumar and Sandeep Patnaik shared the third position in this region.
In the Bhubaneswar region comprising Odisha, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh, 52, 080 students had taken the annual examination of which around 13, 000 students appeared from Odisha.
The girls outshone boys this year too as 91.82 percent girls cleared the exam as compared to 86.27 of boys.
Similarly, the pass percentage in the private schools in the region was 87.21 percent as compared to 67.86 percent in government-run schools. The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya students have put up an impressive result with 97.40 percent pass rate. On the other hand, the Kendriya Vidyalaya (Central School) students’ pass rate was 94.40 percent.
At the all India level, Sukriti Gupta of Montfort School in Delhi topped the exam this year obtaining 497 (99.4%) marks.
The students can access their results through www.cbse.nic.in and www.cbseresults.nic.in websites. Besides, the students can also get their digital mark sheet by creating user id and password in DigiLocker. This apart, the students can also get their results through SMS and IVRS facility.
