Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: Odisha-born senior bureaucrat Anita Pattanayak was today appointed as Deputy Comptroller of Auditor General.
A notification in this regard was issued by Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) today.
The 1982 batch officer of Indian Audit and Accounts Service has also served as Principal Accountant General of Karnataka. Pattanayak hails from Cuttack and is the daughter of former Odisha DGP late Kishore Chandra Pattanayak.
Worth mentioning, she is the first Odia woman to have achieved such distinction. Prior to this, she has served as the Auditor General in Maharashtra, West Bengal, Karnataka and Odisha.
Besides Anita Pattanayak, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet also approved the appointment of 1981 batch Ashwini Attri and 1982 batch Ranjan Kumar Ghose as Deputy CAG.
