Odisha BOB kiosk manager cheats customers of 20 lakh, absconding

Balipatna police station in Khurda district has registered a case against Satyanand Mall (55), a business ccorrespondent for Bank of Baroda customer service point (CSP) in Alisi sasan  for cheating people of more than Rs 20 lakhs.


Mall, a native of Kendrapada district has made off with money deposited in the bank at tune of Rs 20 lakh and is now absconding for last 15 days.

The house where the bank was situated in Alisi Sasan, Rajas in Balipatna is now locked and nameplate of the bank has been brought down.

The CSP franchisee provider, NITC technologies pvt Ltd had given permission to Satyanand Mall  to operate Bank of Barada customer service point (KIOSK) in Alisi sasan.  Established on September 30 last year it served Khurda and Puri district. Satyanand Mall who was not eligible to give loan took lakhs of rupees from unsuspecting people seeking loan.

Satyanand Mall suddenly disappeared and when the aggrieved parties went to Haripur branch , they found that none of their money had been deposited in the bank and no loan has been sanctioned to them.

They went to  NITC technologies pvt Ltd in Bhubaneswar, the organization which has provided kiosk franchise to Satyanand.

After receiving the allegations, Ashok Kumar Barik, a business development manager in NITC technologies pvt Ltd has filed a written complaint in  Balipatna police station against Satyanand Mall for cheating.

A customer service point opened in a franchisee basis has the facilities of no frill account opening, deposit of cash, cash withdrawal, RD account, money transfer to another BOB/BC account holder in other locations for rural persons.
