The Odisha unit of the BJP is upbeat after the anointment of Amit Shah as the BJP president today.
Elated party workers burst crackers and distributed sweets after the announcement of Shah’s appointment as national president today.
The Odisha BJP hopes that the party would take rapid strides in Odisha under Shah’s leadership in the days to come.
“Amit Shah has decisively proved his leadership qualities first in Gujarat and then in the Uttar Pradesh elections. The party will definitely become stronger under his leadership and will make its presence in all parts of the state,” said state BJP president KV Singhdeo congratulating Shah on assuming charge as the national president of the party.
BJP legislature party leader Basant Panda said Shah will strengthen the party from the grassroots level using his enviable organisational ability and ensure that the party comes to power in the state in 2019
Among states where the BJP leaders see a potential for growth for the party are West Bengal, Odisha and the southern quartet of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
