Bhubaneswar, June 10:
A meeting of the newly elected MLAs of the BJP in Odisha will be held on Wednesday to decide on the issues to be raised in the state Assembly beginning from June 12.
The meeting to be chaired by state president KV Singhdeo, however, will not elect the BJPLP leader and would only prepare a list of subjects and issues that the party’s lawmakers will raise in the House. party sources said.
The meeting to elect the leader of the BJP Legislature Party ( BJPLP) has been postponed earlier today following non-availability of Union minister Prakash Javadekar, who has been appointed the party observer to oversee the election.
“Since Javedkar being a Union Minister is busy in attending Parliament proceedings, he was not available on Wednesday. The leader of BJP in the Assembly would be declared after Javedkar visits Odisha,” said Sajjan Sharma, BJP spokesperson.
