Odisha unit of BJP today announced that it will form ‘Power Centres’ across all panchayats of the state and ‘BJP Booth Committees’ at the village level to garner strength for the upcoming panchayat polls.
Speaking to reporters after the state office bearers, district presidents and district in-charges meet in Bhubaneswar today, Odisha BJP General Secretary Prithiviraj Harichandan said that the district presidents and the district incharges will visit these booths at regular intervals to ensure their smooth functioning.
“New officer bearers and incharges have been appointed at district levels. Most of the district presidents, district incharges and state office bearers attended the meeting today. We took various decisions pertaining to the organisation. Also, a blueprint was prepared for the upcoming panchayat elections,” said Harichandan.
Further, the party deliberated on a draft bill before its State Executive meet scheduled to be held in Sundargarh on June 18 and held a brainstorming session to ensure that the upcoming Vikas Utsavs of the party are successful.
“The meeting today focused on the pending issues in the organisational structures at district level. We also discussed the agenda for the upcoming State Executive meet scheduled to be held in Sundargarh on June 18. Besides, we discussed the current political scenario in the state and ways to corner the government over them,” said General Secretary Bhrugu Baxipatra.
