With an eye on panchayat polls in February next year, Odisha Unit of BJP today announced a 16-member committee and tasked it with spearheading the polls in the state.
According to a press notification issued by the party, the ‘Election Management Committee’ will be headed by state unit President Basanta Panda.
Apart from Panda, both union ministers Jual Oram and Dharmendra Pradhan, Leader of Odisha BJP Legislature party KV Singh Deo and National Secretary Suresh Pujari are part of it.
Further, senior leader Bijoy Mohapatra, Manmnohan Samal, Surama Padhy, General Secretary (Organisation) Sarada Satpathy, Vice President Samir Mohanty, Treasurer Sudarshan Goyal, BJP Mahila Morcha President Prabhati Parida and General Secretaries: Prithiviraj Harichandan, Bhrugu Baxipatra, Ananta Nayak and Ranjan Patel are also part of the team.
