Police on Monday claimed to have busted a bike lifting racket with the arrest of two persons and a seizure of 25 two-wheelers in Odisha’s Kandhamal district.
Acting on a tip off, a team from Sambalpur Town police, in collaboration with the Gochhapada police here, seized 25 two wheelers during raids on houses of 32 persons across 20 villages under Gochhapada, Phiringia and Phulbani town police limits in Kandhamal district, said Harihar Pradhan, IIC, Gochhapada police station.
These two wheelers were stolen and were illegally sold.
Two persons – Sarat Gochi of Badamba-Narsinghpur, presently staying in Sambalpur town and Sanjay Digal, an unemployed youth-were arrested during the operation, he said.
