Provision of funds has been made under the budget for the newly announced Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana, Odisha Food Security Scheme, welfare schemes for ASHA workers and pending works under Central schemes, informed Finance Minister Shashi Bhusan Behera.

As per the provisional calendar for the winter session, the supplementary budget will be placed in the Assembly on the opening day on September 4, which will be an exception in the normal practice as supplementary budgets are generally presented during the winter sessions.
