“An Indian Pilgrim”, the autobiography of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose, will be now available in Odia. The Odia translation of the legendary leader’s autobiography will be released on his birth anniversary here at Netaji Birthplace Museum on Thursday.
The Odia translation of the autobiography, titled “Bharat Patheeka” done by Dr Bijayini Singhdeo has been published by Sahitya Akademi. The book was also earlier translated in Bengali under the same title.
The ancestral house of the leader at Odia Bazar here, which has been converted to a museum, has received a facelift for the occasion while the permanent lighting facility around the museum for the light and sound system is already in place.
Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev will be visiting the museum on Thursday to garland the statue of Netaji inside the museum premises.
Many organizations, including the Ravenshaw Collegiate school, the alma mater of Netaji, have planned to observe the birth anniversary of the great leader in a grand manner.
The Old Students’ Association of the school will felicitate an old student of the school-Prof Dr Gouri Shankar Acharya with ‘Chhatra Gourab’ award. An old teacher of the school-Biswanath Mohapatra will be honored with ‘Kruti Sikhsyak’ award. The Association has been doing this for the last several years.
The Association would also hold a public meeting inside the campus of the school in which several political leaders and old students of the school would participate.
