The Odisha Administrative Tribunal (OAT) Bar Associations of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar have decided to go on a one day strike tomorrow to put pressure on the government to revoke its decision to abolish OAT.
Future course of action will be decided at the meeting of the OAT Bar Association, Cuttack to be held in the afternoon tomorrow.
OAT Bar Associations had also resorted to agitation earlier in protest against the state Cabinet’s decision to abolish OAT.
The state government had also assured the lawyers to relook into its decision.
“Despite state government’s assurance no concrete action has been taken so far we will go for a strike tomorrow,” informed Ullash Chandra Mohanty, president Cuttack OAT Bar Association.
