The number of dengue patients in Odisha crossed 3000 with 80 new patients testing positive on Sunday.
Sources in the Health department said out of a total of 154 blood samples tested at several laboratories in the state, 80 tested dengue positive.
With this, the total number of dengue patients in the 27 affected districts of the state has gone up to 3040.
The only three districts in the state which have remained from the deadly virus so far are Boudh, Malkangiri and Sambalpur.
Jajpur district has a maximum of 996 patients of which most of the patients hail from the industrial area of Kalinganagar.
Till Sunday, the number of patients in Baleswar district was 381 followed by 279 in Bhadrak, 258 in Keonjhar, 147 in Cuttack, 186 in Dhenkanal, 309 in Jagatsinghpur and 116 in Kendrapara district.
While official record has put the death toll at seven, unofficial sources have put the number at more.
