Bhubaneswar: Now, land mutation process has gone online in Odisha with the digitisation of records which has been inaugurated today.
With this, people can access information pertaining to land records on internet.
A decision in this regard was taken by the state government six months ago where it decided to computerize the system in six months.
“Online mutation facility has been launched in 38 tehsils in Odisha. An application named Direct Web-Based Information System Tehsil (DWIST) in which land records information will be entered was also inaugurated,” Revenue Minister Maheswar Mohanty said.
As per sources, 38 tehsils in 25 districts have been included under the programme. In the next 15 days, another 100 tehsils will be added to the list.
The minister further informed that the remainder of 317 tehsils will be included in this system by March 2018.
