There is no dearth of talent in Odisha, especially in the field of performing arts. True to its culturally rich state tag, many a singers have left a mark at bigger platforms. The latest being Bhumika Ray.

Bhumika impressed the judges at Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs and was through to the next level.

The 14-year-old is a student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Balasore. She sang the melodious ‘Aao Na Gale Lagao Na’ from ‘Mere Jeevan Saathi’ originally sung by the legendary Asha Bhosle.

Like Satyajit Jena from Odisha, she too got a standing ovation from the Grand Jury.

“She is a very good singer and I think she would go a long way. I am sure that your expectations will be fulfilled in this platform,” judge Himesh Reshammiya said after Bhumika’s performance.

Other two judges – Neha Kakkar and Javed Ali – too had all praises for the teenager.
