Juvenile Cricket Club (JCC), Cuttack on Saturday beat Bhubaneswar Cricket Club (BCC) by 6 wickets in the second 40-40 over match of the ongoing NM Bhuyan Memorial Cricket Tournament organised by the Mukteswar Cricket Club (MCC) at the BJB College ground here.
Bhubaneswar Cricket Club had won the toss and elected to bat. The team was all out for 220 runs in 39.4 overs. Sangeet Mohanty ( 70) was the highest scorer for BCC. Juvenile’s Sumit Sharma bagged 4 wickets for 29.
Juvenile Cricket Club reached the target at the cost of 4 wickets, thanks to half-centuries by Santosh Rout (68) and Md Hasim (54) and an unbeaten knock of 33 by Dibyesh Mohanty.
For the BCC, Parthasarathi Sahu and Normal Biswal claimed two wickets each.
Juvenile’s Santosh Rout was adjudged the Man of the Match and received a cash prize of Rs 1000 from Nihar Sathpathy, M.D-Pioneer Combines Pvt Ltd.
Scan Sporting will take on Paramount Sporting in the third match, the organisers said.
