Making good the promise made in the Railway Budget for a DMU train between Rourkela and Sambalpur, Indian Railways today announced the launch of the Rourkela-Sambalpur-Rourkela DMU with effect from tomorrow.
On the inaugural day, however, the Rourkela-Sambalpur-Rourkela DMU will be introduced from Rourkela and will run as a special train from both the directions.
The regular run of this train will commence on June 8 from both the directions.
As per the schedule, 78103 Rourkela-Sambalpur-Rourkela DMU will leave Rourkela at 0725 hours daily except Sunday and arrive at Sambalpur at 1055 hours on the same day.
In the return direction, 78104 Sambalpur-Rourkela DMU will leave Sambalpur at 1140 hours daily except Sunday and will arrive at Rourkela at 1605 hours.
The train will have stoppages at Panposh, Kalunga, Kansbahal, Rajgangpur, Sonakhan, Sagra, Garposh, Tangarmunda, Bamra, Dharuadih, Bagdehi, Panpali, Dhutra, Jharsuguda, Brundamal, Lapanga, Rengali, Sason & Sambalpur Road between Rourkela and Sambalpur, a release by the East Coast Railway said today.
