Inaugurating the party website highlighting the welfare programmes initiated by the BJD government during the last 12 years at a workshop organised by Biju Yuba Sampark Committee at the party office here today, party supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said; “The new generation is using social media, which is a powerful media for youth communication programmes. We need to be engaged in the social media to communicate with the youths.”

He asked the committee to reach out to the youth brigade across the state and organise programmes to motivate the youth.

Highlighting the newly implemented youth policy in the state, Patnaik said the government had created ample opportunities for the young mass in the state through its youth policy and urged the youth to avail of its many benefits.

The BJD supremo said the coming 10 years will be an era of excellence for the youth in the state. “The government has initiated many developmental programmes in the state during the last 10 years. The coming 10 years will be an era of excellence for the youth of state,” said the Chief Minister.

The Yuva Sampark Committee of the party has prepared a road map, which involves dividing the assembly constituencies in the three revenue divisions, to reach out to the young mass in the next three months.

“While the programmes would be organised at the zonal level, the committee will work on constituency-wise with the full cooperation of MLAs and other senior leaders of the party,” said Ranendra Pratap Swain, the chairman of the committee.
