Mumbai, Dec 17:
Natraj Behera’s unbeaten century denied hosts Mumbai an outright win against Odisha as the visitors forced a draw on the last day of the Ranji Trophy Group-A at Wankhede stadium here on Tuesday.
Behera, who had cracked a sparkling century in the first innings, remained not out on 127 in the second innings.
However, Mumbai earned 3 points on the basis of the first innings lead while Odisha earned one point.
After being enforced a follow-on by Mumbai skipper Wasim Jaffar as the visitors were bundled out for 256 in their first innings in reply to the hosts’ first innings score at 501 for 9 declared, the Odisha batsmen began confidently but lost two wickets on the penultimate day.

Natraj, who was not out at 20, remained not out with a fine 127.
With Niranjan’s dismissal at 59, skipper Biplab Samantray joined Natraj and the duo took the score to 300.
Samantray could not stay long and was out for 27.
However, Abhilash Mallick played a cameo innings of 40 from 49 balls and ensured a draw for his team.
By the time he was out, only three overs were left for play.
