As many as 55 passengers abroad a tourist bus had a narrow escape today as the vehicle rammed into a fence near Dhauli on the outskirts of Odisha’s capital city. Though the bus was damaged, there were no reports of loss of lives.
According to sources, the incident took place when the tourist bus from Kolkata was on its way to the the hill-top Dhauli peace pagoda. The driver lost control over the wheels following which it dashed into the fence.
Worth mentioning, the incident is not first of its kind near Dhauli as a tourist bus from Nadia in West Bengal, carrying over 50 passengers, had overturned near Dhauli killing one and injuring over 40 others on October 9, 2014.
