Jajpur, May 28:
Passengers of the New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Superfast Express had a providential escape on Tuesday afternoon.
According to reports, the brake of a bogey of the train that was moving at the top speed suddenly got jammed.
The driver of the train, who noticed this, stopped the train at Bhadrak railway station for nearly one hour. But as the mechanics failed to fix the problem, the driver drove the train at a slow speed to Jajpur railway station where it halted for nearly two hours. But here too, the engineers failed to repair the brake. The bogey was finally separated from the train which later left for Bhubaneswar at 6.25 pm.
Talking to the newsmen, the railway engineers said the train would have caught fire and derailed if the fault had not been detected in time.
