Bhubaneswar, Nov 27:
Commenting on the stalemate that prevailed in the Odisha Assembly for the seventh consecutive day today, Leader of the Opposition Narasingh Mishra compared chief minister Naveen Patnaik with Dhritarastra of Mahabharata.
“The way ruling party members are stalling the proceedings of the House is most unfortunate. The chief minister, whom we have named as the main villain in the chit fund scam, is acting like Dhritarastra. The chief minister and his party have stifled democracy,” said Mishra outside the Assembly after it was adjourned till 3PM by the speaker following ruckus by ruling party members.
The ruling party has created a history of sorts by stalling the proceedings of the House by breaking all tradition and standard practices, said Mishra.
“What can be done if the protector turns out to be a predator?” queried the Leader of the Opposition.
