New Delhi, July 31:
The Leader of Opposition in the Odisha Assembly Narasingha Mishra met Congress president Sonia Gandhi here today.
The meeting lasted about 45 minutes.
The senior Congress leader discussed organisational matters relating to the party’s state unit during the meeting, party sources said.
Mishra himself was, however, tight lipped about what exactly transpired at the meeting.
“It was a courtesy call. But even in a courtesy call, certain issues are discussed. It would, however, not be proper to discuss such matters in the media,” Mishra told a leading television news channel.
This was the first time Mishra met the Congress president after being elected Leader of Opposition.
Three more Congress leaders – among them Ranjib Biswal and Prakash Behera – had met Sonia yesterday.
