Bhubaneswar, Feb 4:
The ‘NaMo tea stall’ opened there today is offering tea at Rs 3 less than the prevailing market rate. A chance to participate in a discussion with BJP leaders on the BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and his prospects in the Lok Sabha polls later this year is a bonus, at no extra cost.
The big chance, of course, would come on February 11 when Modi himself would come to the tea stall and chat with the customers. The Gujarat chief minister would listen to their problems and discuss various issues, party sources said.
The party has planned to open such tea stalls in each ward of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), they said.
“Some 50 stalls are likely to be opened before the rally. It will boost the campaign for Narendra Modi as PM,” said Amiya Das, a senior leader adding that similar stalls will be opened in different parts of the state as well.
Das said that the party was expecting a congregation of more than two lakh people in the rally.
Meanwhile, the party leaders today conducted a “Bhoomi Puja” at the Baramunda Ground, the venue for Modi’s public meeting. The party leaders have begun construction of the stage for Modi’s February 11 rally, the BJP said in a statement.
