Bhubaneswar, Sept 10:
The Odisha government has decided to construct a multi-storeyed government office building in Bhubaneswar. The building will come up in front of Nirman Soudha in Unit V, officials aid.
This was decided at a high-level meeting presided over by chief minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat here today.
The building, with a built-up area of 30,000 sq metre, will accommodate more than 2, 300 employees.
Each floor will have a seminar hall with a sitting capacity of 50 while the top floor will have a conference hall with a sitting capacity of 100.
Construction of the multi-storeyed building, to be built at a cost of Rs 123 crore, will be completed in two years.
The chief minister asked the concerned departments to take special measures for vehicle parking spaces and energy conservation for the proposed building.
Among others, chief secretary, development commissioner, Works secretary, special secretary, General Administration and officials of the concerned departments were present at the meeting.
