Bhubaneswar, Jun 24:
The Commissionerate Police found three persons dead in a house in Niranjanpur village on the outskirts of the city on Tuesday evening.
The deceased were identified as Pushpanjali Bhujabal and her daughters Subhasmita and Rashmita of Niranjanpur under Jatni police limits.
Though the cause of death is yet to be known, the police suspected the mother and the children died due to poisoning.
A neighbour of the deceased saw the room open and when he entered it, he found the body of mother and her three-year-old daughter from one room. After entering into other room, he found the dead body of another girl aged about five years.
The neighbour informed the matter to the husband of the deceased Bubana, who was out of the house at the time. He was operating a cashew business in Khordha market. Later, the locals informed about the incident to police. Jatni police station IIC and his staff rushed to the spot to investigate the case.
Police suspect that Subhasmita first administered poison to her two daughters and then consumed it before hanging herself to the ceiling with the help of a rope.
