Bhubaneswar: The southwest monsoon is likely to cover the entire Odisha within 3-4 days, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted today.
The monsoon has hit all the districts of Odisha except some parts of the adjoining districts of Bargarh, Jharsuguda and Sundargarh, the IMD said.
Further advancement of the monsoon into remaining parts of the three districts is likely to take place in 3-4 days, it predicted.
“The southwest monsoon has further advanced into most of the districts of Odisha today. It has covered all the districts of Odisha except some portions of the adjoining districts of Bargarh, Jharsuguda and Sundargarh,” a bulletin of the IMD said.
“Also favourable conditions are developing for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into remaining parts of the three districts (Baragarh, Jharsuguda & Sundargarh) of Odisha during next 3 to 4 days,” the bulletin added.
