The southwest monsoon today made further advance into some more parts of Odisha, a release by the local Met office here said this afternoon.
As per the release, the monsoon now has covered most parts of the districts of Nuapada and Bhadrak districts, some parts of Bolangir, Kandhamal, Cuttack, Jajpur and Baleswar districts, most parts of Nayagarh districts, a few portions of Baragarh, Sonepur and Boudh districts and whole of Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Ganjam, Gajapati,Rayagada, Kalahandi, Nawarangpur, Koraput and Malkangiri districts.
The northern limit of monsoon now passes through Lattitude 21.0° N/Longituge 60°E, Veraval, Surat, Ujjain, Narsingpur, Raipur, Phulbani, Cuttak, Digha, Krishnanagar and Darjeeling.
The conditions are favourable for further advance of the monsoon into some more parts of Chhattisgarh, Odisha and West Bengal during next 48 hours, the release added
