Modi expands cabinet, inducts 21 new ministers

New Delhi, Nov 9:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sunday expanded his council of ministers and inducted 21 new ministers, four with cabinet rank, three ministers of state (MoS) with independent charge and 14 ministers of state.

The new ministers were administered the oath of office at an impressive swearing-in ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The list of ministers inducted in the first reshuffle of the Modi minitry is as follows.

Besides Modi, those who attended the swearing-in ceremony included Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, senior BJP leader L.K. Advani, BJP president Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu and Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi.
